perhaps there should also be a mechanism for adding percentage discounts to the checkout. so that we can, for example, give our rockstar best patron a 10% discount on the entirety of her ticket order.

March 18, 2010 at 1:07 pmYup. The percentage code is actually in there, it’s just not available from the GUI yet.

March 30, 2010 at 12:31 pmI really like your vids. You should add them to a podcast or something, though, so one wouldn’t have to check up on this webpage for updates all the time.

March 30, 2010 at 12:37 pmHi Erlend,
Glad you’re enjoying them! There’s an RSS feed for the sketchbook, which would be a good way to be notified when there is new stuff:

May 4, 2010 at 1:48 pmI have one note: on the video above, before adding a ticket that is discounted, you seem to be forced to add a ticket that is not. If a student walks up, and wants to buy a single ticket, you are forced to go through a multi-step process:
- “Sell” a GA ticket.
- Add another GA ticket, discounted.
- Set the original GA ticket counter to zero.
Only then can you check out. Will you be simplifying this?

May 4, 2010 at 2:42 pmGood point, Karl. We might be better off not adding any tickets by default so that it’s a single click to add a ticket of any type, without having to backtrack.

May 4, 2010 at 3:06 pmAwesome. As a local theatre participant (both active involvement and theatre-goer), I am really looking forward to the launch of this product. I think my local theatre company would greatly benefit from added simplicity to outreach. Count me in with the enthused.

October 22, 2010 at 1:32 pmHave you changed the GUI for box office sales in your beta release? I don’t know if I am the only one to think this but the GUI that appears in the video is better as it allows a box in which you can alter the number of tickets, as this would be a lot quicker than clicking the button several times, especially as sometimes you can experience a bit of a lag and then get confused as to number of tickets selected.

October 22, 2010 at 1:35 pmHi Owen,
The current version of the box office page is slightly different from the one in this video, but we didn’t take away the ability to edit the number of tickets.
You can click on the “edit” button and type in any number of tickets in the field.
